As everyone is well aware, the season of Advent, Christmas and New Year is fast approaching with all the fun and excitement that goes along with it. The church can be both a place for contemplation and reflection as well as a place of fun and festivities. We wanted to make sure that you were aware of all that was going on in December since it does get so busy and hope you will be able to join us in the fun as well as the contemplative. Below is a list of the opportunities for fellowship and fun in the month of December. Greening of the Church, Saturday, December 2 at 10:00 AM with music, sweets and fellowship.
Midweek Contemplation & Coffee, Wednesdays beginning December 6 at 11:30 AM- 1:00 PM. The Sanctuary will be open with coffee and sweets available. There will also be several resources for contemplation on hand.
St. Nicholas Day Festival, Sunday, December 10 at 4:00 PM with treats and activities for kids of all ages, a chili cook off, an ugly sweater contest and more.
FPC Book Club Meeting at Dick and Arlene Mueller’s home to partake of Christmas cheer and goodies while discussing the December book selection, Bill of Obligation by Richard Haas
Winter Wonder Family Walk at Lockerly Arboretum, Saturday, December 16 at 6:00 PM to enjoy the festive light display. Please be aware that you must buy tickets ahead of time since they will not allow you to buy them the day of.
PW Bible Study Sunday, December 17 at 4:00 PM will be a combined meeting at Mary Baker's home.
As usual, we have Sunday School, Worship and Youth Group on Sundays; Kiwanis and Food Pantry on Tuesdays and Wednesday Night Pot Luck & Bible Study on Wednesdays. The third Sunday is the Homelessness Awareness Club and the third Tuesday is Samaritan Ministry. The last Sunday of the month is the Milly Free Fridge Service Opportunity.
